Colours, clothes and the right size
Kleuren, kleding en de juiste maat
Te + adjective: te means too and says that something is beyond what is suitable: De broek is te groot. — The trousers are too big. De rok is te strak. — The skirt is too tight. Here, passen means to fit: De broek past. — The trousers fit. De schoenen passen. — The shoes fit. To ask about colour, say: Welke kleur heeft de trui? — What colour is the jumper? De trui is blauw. — The jumper is blue.
