Nederus counts visits to see what works: which page and when, the language, the country, phone or computer, logged in or not, which site or link a visitor came from, and whether someone requests a login link or installs the app. For this a random number is kept in your browser; after a year it is replaced by a new one. The count holds no IP address and no name, there are no third-party cookies, and the data stays with Nederus.

With an account, Nederus stores your email address (to log in), your settings and your name for the live lesson, your answers to the cards (the reviews are built on them), your attempts at the Legendary level, and, if you turn on the reminder, your device's address for the notification and when you tap it. A teacher of your class sees your progress and your reminder: whether it is on, when you last tapped it and whether you practised afterwards.

You can always erase the number: clear the stored data for nederus.nl in your browser, and from then on you count as a new visitor. If "Global Privacy Control" is on in your browser, Nederus uses a number that only lasts until you close the tab.
